Many auto transport brokers promise door to door service. Although often promised, it is often not possible. The pick up and delivery locations must be accessible by a nine car carrier. Residential areas often have overhead obstructions (low tress, power lines, low bridges) that must be avoided to protect cars. Additionally, drivers must avoid tight turns and must be able to safely turn the truck around. We ask that customers respect the driver's evaluation of the area. If the driver is not comfortable with the pick up/delivery area, please trust his judgment and meet him/her at a nearby accessible location.
There are many variables to consider when pricing a shipment. The primary factors include mileage, open or enclosed shipment, size and weight of vehicle, condition of vehicle, supply of carriers on your preferred route and flexibility of scheduling.
We understand that you want the best shipping price and you will find auto transport brokers who will promise you lower prices. However, often times they will not honor their original quote or they will not be able to transport your vehicle timely and safely. The most experienced carriers will not transport for sub-standard rates.
We accept all major credit cards (for COD shipments to carriers, payment must be in the form of cash or cashier's check).
The shipping time is primarily based on total mileage for shipment; however, there are other factors that can lengthen the transit time, including weather delays and unforseen mechanical issues that arise. At booking, we will provide you with an estimated delivery window (industry standard is 2 days); however, no dates are guaranteed.
Open transport is the most economical. During open transport, your vehicle will be exposed to weather and road debris. Your vehicle will likely arrive dirty, as vehicles are not covered during transport.
For additional protection with an added cost, you may choose to transport your vehicle in an enclosed carrier. Enclosed shipping is highly recommended for classic or high-end vehicles.
Auto transporters are required by law to maintain liability insurance and cargo insurance to protect your vehicle. As your experienced transport team, we ensure that all carriers within our network have active coverage.
We recommend that you do not place personal items within your vehicle. Auto transport insurance does not cover damage or theft of personal items. Additionally, carriers must calculate weights very precisely in order to legally transport their load. Added weight in the vehicle can create additional hassle for the driver and result in additional fees for the owner.
